What is biodanza and how can it change your life?


Biodanza helps lift your mood, improve self esteem and reduce stress.

Biodanza is a type of active, group mediation that helps you connect with your innermost essence, free yourself from tension and improve your emotional health.

How biodanza can improve your life

It lifts your mood. It helps you feel better at a basic level. Dancing in a group is related to 5HT serotonin receptors, which are connected to mood.

It reduces stress. The first part of a biodanza session activates the sympathetic nervous system, which secretes adrenalin and the second half activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which secretes acetylcholine and produces a feeling of relaxation.

It strengthens the immune system. A recent study compared immunoglobulin secretions in saliva before and after a sessions and it showed a considerable increase.

It improves social relationships. The exercises focus on empathy, assertiveness and confidence, which helps to develop social and emotional skills.

With your eyes closed, move your arms and hands as if you were making waves. Move your arms and hands to the side and lean to each side. With each movement, stretch and relax, following your own innate rhythm.
