Minimalism, how a simpler life can mean a better life

Focus on what really matters and get rid of complications that add nothing to your life.

There are many things that are beyond our control, but others that are not. The key is making things easy.

The simpler our daily life is, the easier it is to deal with what life throws at us.

Tips for how to discover what’s really important

  1. Be yourself. How different would your life be if you only had to please yourself? We put a lot of energy into impressing others. Try to change that.
  2. Do you really need more? A bigger house, a better car, more exclusive holidays. Try to manage your expectations and you’ll feel calmer.
  3. Apply boundaries. Learn to say no, without worrying about disappointing others. If you don’t feel like doing something, look for an alternative.
  4. Travel as much as you can. Long-term happiness is the result of the experiences that make up your life. Travel is a combination of experiences that create long-lasting happy memories.
  5. Exercise in the fresh air. Exercising outdoors stimulates the five senses. What’s more, being outdoors has a positive impact on the brain and makes you feel better.
